As a customer service representative for Starfish Ad Age, your main goal is to find and qualify high-potential leads, close the sale, and get more customers. This individual will be responsible for lead generation and driving revenue through client calls, meetings, and networking functions.

As a customer service representative, you will help both internal and external customers professionally and work with the team to solve problems. On our team, you will have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career you can be proud of. You will process, promote, and sell the company's products and services.

The responsibilities of a customer service representative also include consulting with clients regarding products or services, working with an existing client base, demonstrating products or services online, establishing contracts, and reporting on the work done in the CRM.

Customer service representative duties also include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads
  • Customer service to assigned existing customers
  • Collaborate with various departments to answer customer questions and resolve issues
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information via email and in person
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers
  • Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services
  • Staying informed about competing products and services
  • Upselling products and services
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets.
  • Provide data for reports for management purposes
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Participate in sales team on-call
  • Support marketing needs where necessary
  • Attend one networking event per month
  • Participate in Starfish Ad Age’s social media

Also, special projects that arise occasionally may be delegated to the customer service representative.

What you need to succeed at Starfish:

  • At a minimum, you will need the following:
  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • Strong computer, typing, and 10-key skills
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Experience with Google Business Suite
  • Previous experience with a CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability to work overtime as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,415.00 - $46,356.00 per year
