Overview:
The purpose of this job is to aid and assist agency personnel in a variety of administrative support tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Decision on the importance and the order in which the work should be done and the time it takes to do the work.
- Assists in processing of claims, insurance policies and other insurance work on an as needed basis.
- Performs duties for general administrative support for Agency operations including but not limited to back up receptionist, mailroom operator and/or file clerk.
- Assists as needed in data entry into Agency Management System.
- Assists in compiling submissions or presentation material to customers or carrier to include drafting of correspondence as directed.
- Performs such other tasks as directed.
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of alphabet and numeric sequences
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Working knowledge of Internet
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
- Must be friendly, organized, and enjoy dealing with people
- Previous insurance company or agency experience preferred
- College degree preferred
