Job description
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The National Institute for Fitness and Sport (NIFS) is in search of an energetic and inspiring instructor to teach a Tuesday and Thursday Noon cycle class. As a cycle class instructor, you will lead indoor cycling participants through a one-hour class.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Competency in choreography, technique, coaching and connecting
- One-year of cycle class instructing experience
- Group Exercise Certification from an accredited organization such as National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE) or American Fitness Aerobic Association (AFAA)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct safe, fun, dynamic, effective and educational indoor cycling classes to ensure clients are happy with the workout and remain motivated to achieve their personal fitness goals.
- Provide a high degree of service through a professional relationship with our members and guests in regards to their needs, concerns and questions.
- Demonstrate an ability to relate to and work with a variety of people.
- Ensure the class area is clean and in order for the next class and that all equipment is functioning properly. Report any problems/needs to the group fitness and program coordinator.
- Be on time for all scheduled classes.
- Maintain attendance records.
