Who you are...

You are passionate about Data & Analytics and want to play an integral part in the formulation and delivery of a Data & Analytics roadmap for our Finance Business Unit. The role will require a good business focused understanding of the Data & Analytics requirements of this critical business unit and a technical understanding of how reliable reporting and valuable insights are delivered. You are focused on giving our internal customers a 1st class service and have a creative mindset that will drive the adoption of new Data & Analytics solutions.


Your team...

You will be a key member of the Data and Analytics (D&A) leadership team. The team provides Data As a Service, Reporting and Analytics to over 300 users across the company via a large team both on shore and off shore.


The next challenge for you...

As Finance Business Partner you will:
Contribute to the creation of the next generation Data & Analytics environment for the company that will be empowered with the right tools to deliver business value
Work closely with senior business stakeholders in the Finance Business Unit and beyond & their direct reports to identify opportunities for improving reporting & data led insights
Collaborate with D&A business partners for other Business Units, our Analytics and our Reporting team as One D&A team to leverage synergies
Co-ordinate development of Reporting solutions and build buy in from stakeholders
Build trusted relationships with on shore & off shore development teams & manage and coach D&A Finance squad members to deliver on objectives
Contribute to D&A strategy evolution and communications around implementation of this strategy.
Proactively identify new trends & new business opportunities (both new Revenues & Cost avoidance) influencing the Finance Business Unit.
Own & promote the Finance Business Unit D&A roadmap, taking input from Group D&A on cross market strategic capabilities, and be an agent of change across the organisation
Collaborate with delivery partners in IT and with Data Governance to enable Data Governance policy
Ensure the successful provision of D&A solutions enabling critical Finance planning and operations processes such as Month End Close.


What you need...

3rd Level Degree in IT / Business or related area
Strong combination of D&A technical and business skills
Excellent communications skills
Ability to lead in an evolving, cross functional environment & to engage at senior level
Ability to collaborate to ensure adoption of new reporting & analytics capabilities
Minimum 3 years experience, in a Reporting / Business partnering role
Ability to lead a squad comprised of blend of onshore and offshore resources and deliver to an agreed roadmap
Experience of critical Finance business unit business processes
Experience with Terradata Datawarehouse, Google Cloud platform and Reporting tools such as Microstrategy, Qlik

What else should you demonstrate:
At least 3 years of relevant Data & Analytics project management experience
Previous experience in a multinational telecoms company
Strong and impactful influencer
