Summary:
The DEI Data Analyst will mine and analyze a broad array of quantitative and qualitative diversity data assets to assist in compiling analyses and develop reports for internal firm requests, client requests, and external publication requests, and help shape DEI strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently manage and complete DEI data reports for (1) standard RFP/RFI (typically routed through Marketing), (2) ad-hoc client requests (typically related to hours spent by timekeepers working on matters or overall Firm demographic information), and (3) third party requests (typically legal industry publications and data for awards/recognition).
- Develop data models and review DEI analysis as required to facilitate and complete DEI data requests.
- Work with other members of the Strategic Planning team to prepare DEI presentations, survey responses, and other communications materials as required.
- Track and monitor the status of all DEI data requests throughout the entire workflow.
- Keep abreast of industry DEI trends and best practices.
- Utilize external benchmarking tools to monitor Sidley’s progress.
- Proactively build relationships with different stakeholders across the firm.
- Support the DEI Data Analytics Manager in communicating with key stakeholders about the status of DEI related data requests.
- Support the DEI Manager, Data & Analytics with projects and the implementation of process improvements.
- Performs other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates.
Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a data analysis role
- Experience with reporting and query tools, databases, and data management
- Demonstrated understanding of Excel and ability to build and maintain spreadsheets, utilize pivot tables and advanced formulas, identify and track trends over time and other key metrics as needed

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
