Data Analyst to join the Business Solutions team to support aggressive growth plans over the next three years. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for using a consultative problem-solving approach to identify, design, create, and manage metrics and data visualization exhibits to provide support to a data-based decision making culture.
Additional opportunities in the role will include supporting the business with continuous improvement, thought-leadership, and general overall creative thinking. The Wagner Business Solutions team is focused on implementing and improving standardized work, designing, and implementing new warehouse designs, coaching, and leading continuous improvement and defect reduction activities.
The ideal candidate will help generate insights by organizing and reviewing a variety of datasets, related to multiple applications including fulfillment, transportation cost, inventory control, procurement, and other related continuous improvement metrics as well as customer-facing dashboards.
This position will office at our
Corporate Headquarters in North Kansas City, MO. The normal shift is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with other hours as required by specific project need. The Data Analyst will report to the Director, Business Solutions & Engineering based at headquarters in North Kansas City,

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
- Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution.
- Maintains database(s) of logistics information.
- Reviews logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs.
- Reviews and analyzes transportation costs, parts procurement and delivery processes, inventory issues such as back orders, and other fulfillment metrics.
- Uses analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes.
- Monitors warehouse facilities to evaluate inventory transactions such as receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Criminal Background and Pre-Employment Drug Test – A clean criminal history and pre-employment drug test is mandatory
Education (Required) - College – Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
Certifications (Required) – None
Experience (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position) –
- Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
- Previous experience in logistics
Knowledge/Experience/Skills –
- Extensive knowledge of shipping and distribution channels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of statistical tools and business reporting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Tableau or similar software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, crawl, bend, twist, reach and/or kneel for up to 12-hour periods of time and repetitively
- Exposure to varying temperatures: heat, cold, wet, damp, drafty
- Work on concrete and unlevel surfaces
- May be required to climb ladders and stairs
- Work around hazardous materials and may be exposed to carcinogens, toxic, and explosive materials.
- Possible exposure to areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection
- Use hands and fingers to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights
