Job Description
To help maintain the operational integrity of the Banner Finance module by reviewing and analyzing financial transactions via Data Control entry processing, other module data or system upgrades/enhancements. Supervises the Data Control section of the Office of Finance.

Working knowledge of an automated financial system and ability to interpret data. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Considerable knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques. Excellent written and communication skills with a large constituency. Demonstrated ability to work with accounting entries and policies. Demonstrated ability to analyze fiscal transactions for conformity with procedures and regulations. Demonstrated ability to use Excel, Adobe, Word or similar software. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct the work of others.

Level and type of experience
Considerable experience with analyzing financial data in a financial system and reviewing financial entries. Considerable experience with dealing with a large constituency to provide and communicate financial policies. Some supervisory experience.

Bachelor’s degree in finance or computer science or similar field. Some experience with Banner financial system. Considerable experience with review and creation of accounting entries.
Conditions of Employment
Overtime is approved during busy periods. Employee is allowed one telework day per week.
