Our client is on the lookout for a data-driven, exacting individual to join their team as Data Systems Specialist. The ideal candidate will get the opportunity manage a team of people to streamline and improve the company’s data integrity, reporting, development, planning, maintenance, and training of its 13,000 dedicated users. Responsibilities:

– Collaborate with business stakeholders of all levels to define and deliver quality metrics relating to our membership and students
– Implement, and thereafter proactively administer & support for the company’s data platform
– Define and implement rules to measure and monitor quality of data
– Improve data quality by developing new processes, policies, and standards to drive data quality efforts and ensure ongoing protection of data quality
– Collaborate with internal teams to support the collection, integration, data cleansing efforts and retention of data sources
– Implement data quality improvements and identify optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues.

Previous Requirements:

– Critical thinking – can take knowledge, extrapolate ideas and concepts, and apply it to other situations, with ease
– Experience using SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar is desirable
– Excel skills – is comfortable using Excel to capture and collate various data sets
– Time management and ability to work under pressure – can manage workload in an efficient and effective way
– Problem solving skills – is able to comfortably define a problem, generate and evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions in a meaningful way
– Communication and Interpersonal skills – is comfortable interacting with multiple types of colleagues, at all levels of management
– Previous knowledge of business intelligence tools and concepts
– Ability to manage remote staff (proposed full team will be 4 to 5 staff) as well as liaise with developers, UI/UX specialists, and our Web team
– Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
– JIRA Issue Tracking experience
– Confluence Documentation experience
