The job of the Database Administrator is to ensure the health of all internal and production database systems. This includes monitoring production database servers, tuning database code and objects, working with the Development teams to create efficient database code and to deploy new code, as needed.
- Administering multiple domestic and international environments in Azure/AWS/Google Cloud
- Supporting internal clients
- Performing SQL Server maintenance
- Managing database backups/restores
- Performance tuning and optimizing database code
- Participating in the development and deployment of product releases
- Performing capacity planning and projections for future growth
- Other duties as required
YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:
- BS degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with SQL Server 2014/2016/2019, as well as SSIS, SSRS
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS Databases or Google Cloud
- Extensive experience analyzing Stored Procedures, Views, Triggers, and Functions
- Expert analysis of performance issues (indexing, contention, execution plans, etc.)
- Experience with Mirroring, Clusters, Replication and High Availability
- Expertise with SSAS a plus
- Familiarity with MySQL, MongoDB or PostgreSQL a plus
IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAVE:
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server
