New Horizon Little Learners utilizes the Creative Curriculum to encourage exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

We are currently looking for a Full-Time or Part-Time Teacher for our program. This is a great opportunity if you are energetic, like to work hard, have a nurturing and friendly attitude, and love teamwork. Classroom organization and demonstrable ability to manage children are necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Must be at least 18 years old (Required)
• Have at least six months of experience working in a licensed facility for childcare or educational setting

Licensing/Certification(s):

• Food-handling certification (Preferred)
• First Aid certification (Preferred)
• Child/infant CPR certification (Preferred)
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (Preferred)

Positions:

Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts. (Center hours are 6:00 am - 6:00 pm)

Position Responsibilities:

Assist in all aspects of the care and education of the children enrolled in his/her class

• Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class in all areas of the facility
• Assist in regular observation and evaluation of children's development and progress as directed by the administration
• Assist with the development and implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum
• Facilitate and support relationships with the director, co-workers, parents, and students
• Assist in maintaining/updating student portfolios
• Follow weekly lesson plans and goals
• Assist in maintaining responsibility daily for the learning environment's arrangement, appearance, decor, and cleanliness.
• Serve as a role model for the children
• Communicate with parents through daily reports and monthly newsletters
