The position of the Student Recruitment Officer (Europe and International Markets) has responsibility, reporting to the Sales Manager, to recruit students from mainland Europe and other markets (non-EU) in accordance with agreed targets, as well as ensuring the smooth flow of students through the recruitment pipeline. The post is a combination of office-based activity including administrative work and international travel representing DBS at partner institutions, International Days, Fairs and other events in Europe and other global markets as required. Recruitment will focus mainly on recruiting students onto DBS QQI Accredited programmes, Semester programmes (study abroad options) and bespoke programmes as required.
Travel will be a key requirement of this role.
Specific responsibilities of the Student Recruitment Officer for Europe will include:

Recruitment of students from mainland Europe and other markets in accordance with agreed targets

Developing and managing partner relationships for the College to support the delivery of our Internationalisation strategic objectives. This includes existing partners as well as developing new partnerships annually

Arrange visits )/meetings to partner colleges in Europe as per an agreed travel plan

Arrange visits to agents in relevant markets

Provide support to the Business Development Manager for Europe

To build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders including academic staff, academic operations staff, Admissions teams, Student Experience and Careers and to work collaboratively with these stakeholders to support EU recruitment.

Review plans on a regular basis and the monitoring and management of the recruitment target to assess if objectives are been met

Provision of timely and regular reports to management with up to date statistics and analysis of student applications and recruitment

Provide comprehensive reports on partner visits/meetings and to ensure that market intelligence gained through recruitment activity is fed back to colleagues within the recruitment function to inform future activity.

Carry out research as required on market segments, Partner institutions etc.

Organisation and provision of a comprehensive and streamlined information service to both partners and students

Management and development of relationships with all targeted and potential partners and applicants/students

Liaison and contact Person for relevant Colleges and Partners

Conduct regular follow up calls with Partners

Conduct calls to manage students through the pipeline stages and liaise with all applicants regarding status of their application

Responsible in ensuring all administration processes associated with recruitment and admissions of students are carried out effectively in conjunction with the Admissions Manager and Quality Admissions Officer

Follow up with European student recruitment leads and applications at all statuses by phone, email or any other communication channel as directed

Work with the Marketing Manager and Digital Content Assistant in developing relevant marketing communications for European partners and their students and building marketing plans for markets

Attendance at International Days, Open events, Recruitment fairs, registration and Induction events in Europe and other global markets and in DBS

Assist in other student recruitment areas when required

Additional administrative and marketing tasks as delegated by management

Remain flexible to changes in priorities, geographic focus, and responsibilities
Working Relationships:
The management of successful working relationships will be an integral aspect of the role. This will include:

Reporting Arrangement:
The Student Recruitment Officer (Europe and International) will report directly to Sales Manager and will have a high level of day-to-day autonomy in discharging his/her responsibilities. They will also have a dotted line into the Business Development Manager for Europe.

Flexible approach to work as there may be some evenings and weekend work required as well as international travel

Third level qualification
-
Experience of working within the educational sector and with partners and institutions is desirable

Experience in relationship management

European Language is desirable
