Job Description:

Responsible for safely and efficiently relocating furniture, equipment, and other household or office items from one location to another. This may involve packing items, loading them onto trucks or vans, transporting them to the new location, and unloading them. The Mover must ensure that all items are properly secured during transit and that they arrive at the destination in the same condition as they were when loaded. They must also follow safety guidelines and adhere to company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Review work sheet to determine items to be moved and the required timeframe for completing the job.

- Pack and prepare items for transport, ensuring they are properly labeled, organized, and secured.

- Load and unload items onto trucks or vans, making sure that weight is distributed evenly, and all items are handled with care.

- Drive trucks or vans, following traffic laws and safety guidelines.

- Unload items, carefully unpacking and placing them according to the client's instructions.

- Document any damage or missing items and report them to the warehouse manager.

- Follow company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, and always maintain a positive and professional attitude.

Qualifications:

- Over 25 years of age

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 100 pounds) and work in various weather conditions.

- Know how to safely use a hand truck

- Good communication and customer service skills.

- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

- Prior experience in moving or transportation preferred but not required.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and as needed.

- Experience driving a box truck over 10’

- Number of hours 4-10 weekly.

- Hourly rate $17-$19

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
