Summary:
Under direction of the Operations Manager, the Delivery and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for processing delivery and receiving documents into the company ERP system. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company and the capability of working in a team environment are necessary for this position.
Reports To: Operations Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages CDL and Non CDL drivers to insure on time and accurate deliveries while adhering to proper DOT and OSHA safety requirements.
- Responds to customer complaints/questions regarding deliveries, expedites or locates missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
- Performs quality control on all outbound loaded material ensuring accuracy of company shipping.
- Coordinates inter-departmental package delivery for received materials to recipient.
- Processes receiving documents in AS400 the same day as receipt of materials in field
- Verifies delivery documents are invoiced in the AS400 ERP system upon materials leaving facility
- Ensures all outbound material leaving facility is properly checked, properly labeled and documented on AS400 sales orders
- Processes receiving documents the same day as receipt of materials, this includes all special-order hardware and materials required for jobs.
- Work with Materials department to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain order of warehouse and stocking areas
- Ensures oldest materials are utilized first (FIFO)
- Manages direct report’s overtime
- Manages returnable packaging both on-sight and off-sight
- Reviews and coach drivers on Lytx monitoring system
- Demonstrates a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement; identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers; participates as a team player in all phases of the organization; and is open and responsive to change.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Ensures the highest level of safety is adhered to for all team members
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- General computer knowledge
- Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work
- Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Communicates effectively with team members
- Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience in building materials related industry.
