Our office is looking for a full time dental assistant. We are looking for someone reliable and friendly to join our team. We have a small, family owned practice and we offer a flexible schedule. We have a talented, supportive doctor and an experienced team that likes to have fun while providing high quality care in a professional, compassionate and personable manner.

We are looking for that special someone who embraces the team concept, is articulate , organized and dependable. Our practice uses Eaglesoft dental management software and 1-2 years experience in a dental setting is required. Radiology certification and Maine radiology license preferred.

Responsibilities for the position include:

• Welcoming and seating patients
• Record patient medical and dental histories
• Present treatment plans to patients
• Preparing exam rooms, instrument trays and ensuring operatory is ready for scheduled procedures.
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Maintain accurate patient records and sterilization logs
• Sterilize instruments
• Provide oral hygiene instruction and post-operative care instructions
• Take necessary radiographs
• Keep operatories and lab stocked and prepare supplies order list
• Ensure records are in compliance with privacy and security regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
