Position: Systems Engineer Journeyman

Clearance Level Secret

Location: Camarillo, CA. Telework once per week possible.

Job Description: The Client. is seeking a qualified candidates to serve as Software Systems Engineers with 3-10 years of experience for classified programs, working onsite at Point Mugu Naval Air Station in Camarillo, CA.

Functional Description:

· Oversees the development, test, installation, integration, operation, maintenance, and repair of Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) software.

§ Performs systems engineering duties in the planning and designing of new system software.

§ Performs systems engineering duties in the maintenance and integration of legacy system software.

· Interfaces with stakeholders and support contractors to align legacy system software interfaces with new system software.

· Provides analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems.

· May analyze or recommend commercially available software.

· Monitors workflow, and schedules

· Provides data management for specific technical software during production, fleet introduction and operations.

Qualifications:

· Between 3 and 5 years of experience performing the duties described in the functional description

· Software-related experience, such as programming/development, testing, script writing, etc. is a plus.

· Experience with the integration of complex applications, Atlassian issue tracking application, Jira bug tracking and agile project management

· Knowledge of FMS programs is a plus.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening—for staff, customer, and organizational level communications, both formal and informal

· Ability to work independently or lead a small team, self-starter.

· Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Education:

BS or BA degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
