DirectViz Solutions, LLC. is a high-level, strategic consulting services firm that meets mission IT needs for government clients. DirectViz Solutions has an immediate need for a Desktop Publishing Specialist in support of the Proposal Development Center for our headquarters. This position is primarily located in Tysons Corner, Virginia, but will allow for predominantly remote work.

Responsibilities

Generates and formats proposal materials including RFI responses, white papers, and proposal volumes.

• Define and generate style guides and templates for common proposal materials (e.g., volumes, resumes, past performance, etc.).
• Reviews and interprets RFP requirements and generates proposal-specific templates and document shells to enable compliance with RFP requirements.
• Collaborates with proposal managers, writers, graphics, and related functions in the preparation of proposal content.
• Supports the preparation and maturation of proposal content for reviews and production through style editing, proofreading, and document preparation.
• Provides support to graphic design and production, such as proofreading, formatting for print and electronic publication, and other production-related activities.
• Maintain awareness of contents of repositories of previous proposal material (e.g., templates, exemplars, etc.) and support the loading of new proposal material after submittal and award.

Qualifications

Required

• Associates degree (or equivalent experience) plus 3-5 years experience and familiarity with Federal IT proposal support or corporate documentation, Bachelor's degree plus 1-3 years experience and familiarity with Federal IT proposal support or corporate documentation.
• Strong Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills including defining and applying style templates to generate compliant proposal documents.

• Recent proposal experience with Shipley-based new business processes.
• Experience working with Adobe PDF tools such as Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and be a team player with a problem-solving attitude.

Desired

• Familiarity with the integration of graphics and tables into proposal documents
• Experience with MS Teams and SharePoint sites and using multi-authoring for document collaboration.
• Experience working on cybersecurity or IT based proposals for the Federal government.
• Experience with a large GovCon proposal team working in the full and open competitive trade space.
• Shipley or APMP certification
