Job Description


Due to continued expansion we are currently looking to add a Desktop Systems Specialist to our existing internal team in Cork Ireland. This is an initial 3-month fix term contract.

Reporting to Manager, Global Field IT, the Endpoint Desktop Systems Specialist role will have a primary focus on managing and maintaining our Windows endpoint fleet, in parallel to project participation focused on migrating our managed endpoint and mobility suites to modern architecture, as part of global technology transformation projects currently underway.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware.

  • Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstation network issues in a heterogeneous environment

  • Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment.

  • Communicates information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.

  • Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.

  • May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects.

  • May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s computer users about basic and specialized applications.


Qualifications


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of operating system principles, particularly for Windows, and for MacOS.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Exposure to Group Policy management

  • Experience supporting and maintaining Windows Endpoint devices a plus.

  • Exposure to Azure AD, Autopilot, JAMF Pro will be an added advantage

  • Positive attitude with a strong focus on creativity and active solutioning

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

  • Strong analytical and logical skills for solving complex cross-functional problems

  • Ability to work independently and to communicate ideas to other team members effectively
