S'moreology is an artisan s'mores and ice-cream shop in the city of West Covina. Our team is looking for DESSERT line chefs to fulfill tickets. This position is on the dessert line and you will be the expert when it comes to making our s'mores, ice-cream and drink creations with skill and precision.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your tasks will include, but not limited to the following:

• Greeting all customers with a smile and a warm welcome.
• Assisting customers with choosing items and providing information to help them choose the best treat.
• Taking orders on a Square POS System
• Reviewing & executing orders from doordash.
• Prepping all orders on dessert line: Decorating S'mores, Toasting Marshmallows with a Blow Torch, Scooping Ice-Cream, making sundaes, Piping Marshmallow Fluff, Making Floats, shakes, warming pastries, etc.
• Restocking storefronts supplies and taking inventory.
• Keeping Storefront Clean and Presentable at all times. This includes, but not limited to keeping patio clean, countertops clean and sanitized, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning ice-cream freezer, cleaning windows, sweeping parking lot, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, washing dishes, organizing stock, etc.
• Packaging cookies, marshmallows and toppings for kits.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EXCELLENT Customer Service
• 1 Year Experience in Food Industry REQUIRED (Must be included on resume)
• Active Food Handlers Card for California
• Experience in a Bakery or Ice-Cream Shop Setting is a PLUS
• Cake Decorating or Piping is a PLUS
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Not accepting applicants currently in High School)
• Vaccinated against Covid-19 REQUIRED

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All employees are required to be vaccinated and wear PPE. Customers are outside and serviced through a window. Customers are not allowed inside facility.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Food Industry: 2 years (Preferred)
• Dessert Line: 1 year (Required)

• Food Handler Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Preferred)
