Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

JMT Consultants Inc. is a growing structural consulting firm seeking a motivated Tekla steel detailer to join our dedicated team. We offer an exciting relocation expenses package for individuals outside the Atlanta area. We will also consider the opportunity to work remotely for the right candidate.

This is an exciting, in-house, full-time position that includes a variety of challenges and continuous learning. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and other JMT team members to accurately and efficiently detail structural and miscellaneous steel projects using Tekla Structures while ensuring client standards are upheld, and company procedures are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Tekla models following the structural and architectural design drawings and specifications in compliance with applicable standards and building codes
• Connect steel members per connection design information provided by the EOR
• Create and incorporate all RFI’s promptly when discrepancies are found or additional information is required to complete the process and follow up as required
• Create and modifies drawings for Approval, Assembly, As-builts, and Erection Drawings
• Coordinate with fabricators, engineers, and architects to meet project requirements
• Prepare drawing packages and issue them to the client per scheduled delivery dates

Qualifications:

• Any level of knowledge of Tekla Structures
• 5+ years experience as a Steel Detailer – willing to consider candidates who can demonstrate significant experience in a related field
• Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction and fabrication and the ability to read drawings
• Self-motivated and able to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance
• Deadline-driven with an attention to detail

• Diploma/certificate
• United States of America Citizenship/Legally able to work in the United States of America
