Kensington Soccer Club is looking for a Summer Development Assistant to help the development team plan and implement and end of summer fundraising event.

This is a VISTA position sponsored by AmeriCorps and is a perfect opportunity for those who are looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment, whether you're a career changer, recent high school graduate, or retiree.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older

Must be U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient

Must have proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Any previous experience in organizational and grassroots development, fundraising, database organization, event planning, or community impact is preferred but not required.

Time Commitment

Summer VISTA's will work full-time with Kensington Soccer Club for 9 weeks (June 12, 2023 - August 11, 2023) and dedicate 35-40 hours a week. This is an in-person position and our office is located at 3400 J Street, Philadelphia, PA 19134.

Compensation

Total compensation for the summer is $6,567.12.

The compensation details are:

• a living allowance from AmeriCorps totaling $3,037.86.

• an additional KSC supplemental living allowance of $2,070.

• the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $1,459.26 received at the end of the summer to be used on college tuition or debt, or a cash bonus of $311 if you prefer.

NOTE: AmeriCorps does not cover moving expenses for a Summer VISTA.
