Development Manager
Objectives of the Position: The Development Manager has the responsibility to maintain a sustainable revenue stream for the Center. This is accomplished through fundraising events, appeal letters and the day-to-day management of the Center’s donor community.
Reports to: The Executive Director
Supervises: No direct supervisory responsibility, but the Development Manager will be assisted as appropriate by the office staff and volunteers.
Qualifications: The Applicant should exhibit:
- Strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position.
- Strong people skills and the ability to work well within groups, as well as with people of all backgrounds.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working within the Microsoft Office platform of applications.
- A Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of successful development or sales experience.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to accomplish tasks without close supervision.
Major Responsibilities:
Fundraising:
- Working with Executive Director, develop and execute a comprehensive annual fund development plan.
- Manage special events, including solicitation of sponsorships and auction items, and logistics.
Administrative:
- Administer donor database including routine information entry and gift processing, donor acknowledgment and data analysis. Maintain data integrity and work with leadership and accounting to ensure monetary contributions are booked accurately.
- Attend periodic staff meetings.
Networking/Collaboration:
- Join/participate in community groups, organizations and committees to network and build relationships.
Public Relations:
- Contribute to the organization’s social media and email marketing efforts on platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Grants:
- Work with executive Director and staff to identify and apply for grants benefitting the center and our clients.
Position details:
- This position will be part-time with flexible hours and potential work-from-home scheduling as agreed with the Executive Director.
- Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
- The Development Manager will receive an annual written and oral evaluation by the Executive Director.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
