Position Summary:

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the smooth operation of software and data pipeline deployments. This position will manage an environment pipeline leveraging as much automation as possible. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for continually advancing the technology in a collaborative and creative agile environment using many of the latest technologies and industry best practices.

Essential Functions:

• Develops and operates end to end solutions for IT Operations (deployment, release management, monitoring, etc.).
• Configures and maintains on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, scalability and security of development, testing and production environments, relying on automated scripts and configuration management tools.
• Maintains, extends and builds automated CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Develops and maintains DevOps for both software and data pipelines.
• Works with software engineering leads to facilitate DevOps practices and defining pipeline standards.
• Provides operational support and engages with customers often in order to provide technical excellence.
• Works with scrum master to coach teams toward agility by providing training and tools necessary to achieve common goals.
• Actively participates in the design, implementation, and day-to-day support of the infrastructure.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• In depth knowledge of CI/CD practices
• Scripting ability in one of the following: PowerShell, Bash, or python
• Working knowledge and practical experience with Docker and Linux
• 2+ years of Azure DevOps experience
• 2+ years implementing DevOps practices for Data services
• Proven record of accomplishment of implementing pipeline management in multi-cloud environments
• Strong background in source control systems; i.e. GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket or Source Forge

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in similar field.
• Must hold at least one Microsoft Corporation DevOps certification.
