Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Dietary Service Supervisor for our Clarksburg, WV location.
Summary: We are seeking compassionate, hardworking, dedicated individuals to direct the operations of the department to ensure the highest quality dietary services in accordance with the state and federal regulations. Provide leadership for the staff in the department in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Complete daily refrigerator, freezer and dishwater temperature logs and take appropriate action to correct any temperature out of range.
- Review Cleaning Logs with Executive Director monthly.
- Review Temperature Logs with Executive Directory monthly.
- All menu items needed daily are available as indicated by having no menu substitutions related to unavailable stock.
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Care plan team.
- Resident Nutritional Progress note is started per policy and completed upon care plan date and quarterly thereafter.
- Participate in weekly Weight and Nutrition meeting.
- Verify resident weights are obtained per process.
- Provide an environment conducive to positive marketing of facility to obtain and/or maintain facility occupancy greater than 90%.
- Review and audit financial reports and assure dietary budget compliance.
- Follow facility protocols, including obtaining prior approval for purchases and timely completion of purchase orders.
- Motivate and communicate with the dietary workforce assuring minimal turnover.
- Effectively manage the employee satisfaction rates to assure high employee morale.
- Assure all dietary employees attend Serve Safe annual in-service.
- Promote a safe workplace through an ongoing facility safety program.
- Assure that all new hires in dietary department have completed Serve Safe in-service within 90 days of hire.
- Input department schedules (and update as needed) and verify timecards required for processing payroll.
- Oversee and schedule performance evaluations for dietary department and assure timely completion of all performance evaluations.
- Satisfactory health department inspections.
- Manage and participate in the orientation process to ensure accurate employee orientation to comply with AMFM Policy and Procedures.
Education/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a registered dietetic technician through American Dietetic Association OR a Certified Dietary Manager through Dietary Manager’s Association, OR a graduate of an associate or baccalaureate degree program in foods and nutrition or food service management.
- Current Food Handler’s card.
- Supervisory experience in commercial food service (preferred).
