The Woodleigh of Baton Rouge, located in the heart of Baton Rouge and just minutes from Denham Springs is seeking to add to the dietary staff with a full-time position for Dietary Aide and Cook. The completely remodeled facility provides a unique professional opportunity in a comfortable environment to those looking for career development.

Dietary Aide - 10:30a - 7:00p; $9.00 per hour
Cook - 10:30a - 7:00p; $10.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists in a utility role
• Prepares food as directed, following recipes / menus for regular, modified and therapeutic diets
• Prepares resident trays with the proper eating utensils and checks to ensure meals are served accurately and in accordance with the resident’s diet order and food preferences
• Cleans food prep areas, dishes, utensils and equipment
• Follows posted cleaning schedules and uses proper sanitation and cleaning methods
• Ensures dishes, etc. are readily available for the next meal. Stores dishes, etc. in the proper location that prevents contamination
• Practices safety, and infection control, and emergency procedures according to facility procedures
• Performs duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager
• Remains courteous and professional when communicating with all residents and staff.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess, as a minimum, high school education
• Experience in food prep and service preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care facility preferred
