Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is seeking a Digital Banking Wire Specialist to join our team. The location for this position is Newport, New Hampshire.

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Process all types of wires, domestic and international incoming and outgoing wires.
  • Become knowledgeable in all aspects of the wire room, including but not limited to all types of wire transfers, balancing wires, reviewing prior day wires in synergy and assorted other functions.
  • Assist with training and cross training of co-workers by sharing knowledge and information gained from training sessions and work experiences.
  • Participates in projects, new product offerings, and system conversions related to supported electronic banking products and services.
  • Learn and keep current with changing procedures and regulations, varying job assignments, systems and new equipment.
  • Identify, review and ensure compliance with the laws and regulations which affect assigned functional areas.
  • Adhere to federal regulatory requirements, such as the Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Acts, and all established policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work as a positive team member in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and to manage multiple assignments.
  • Answer questions and respond to requests with proper etiquette through email and telephone within established timelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of a high school degree or the equivalent.
  • Professional customer relations and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based software programs is required.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret findings and results, and to draw logical conclusions in carrying out day-to-day assignments.
  • Ability to receive and understand oral and written instructions.
