South Michigan Food Bank serves 8 counties across Michigan, collaborating with 341 distribution partners; food pantries, soup kitchens, and other food sites, with our shared goal to end hunger in South Michigan. General Description and Position Summary

The Digital & Marketing Manager (DMM) is responsible for ensuring effective and accurate operations of South Michigan Food Bank's database, Bloomerang, as well as all marketing systems. The DMM advances three strategic objectives: (1) ensuring accurate and timely gift entry and acknowledgment in accordance with South Michigan Food Bank's standard operating procedures, (2) developing reports and data analyses that support growing sustainable, predictable revenue for the mission, and (3) management of web, social media and marketing output as well as design concepts.

The DMM will oversee end-to-end gift processing, from gift entry to acknowledgment, of all revenue for South Michigan Food Bank. Develop and run daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to help the Development team track giving metrics and performance of the fundraising team.

The DMM will work closely with the Development team and manage all external communications, including appeals, campaigns, newsletters, and annual reports. Ensure accurate and timely reporting; manage and pull mailing and email lists; lead data updates and database clean up, and handle donor inquiries about gifts and acknowledgments.

The DMM will oversee and monitor all communication channels, including social media, email, marketing systems, web functions and content. They will also work directly with the Director of Development on creating content and brand materials for all external communications, using software and design components to ensure all messaging adheres to South Michigan Food Bank brand guide.

The DMM will also work with South Michigan Food Bank's Finance team to lead and deliver timely monthly reconciliations and other internal financial processes to ensure the organization's fiscal health.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

· Responsible for gift processing, including reviewing and recording gifts, assigning financial codes, understanding donor's intent, anddata entry into the database. Ensure that gifts are accurately reflected in the CRM (Bloomerang) and tied to appropriate proposals, solicitations, etc.

· Management of online giving, landing page and QR code implementation; both ongoing and event creations

· Responsible for marketing aspects of web building and creation as well as maintaining accuracy, social media channels, and assisting in creation of marketing campaigns and annual events.

· Oversee acknowledgment process, including generating acknowledgment/tax letters, ensuring the accuracy of acknowledgment/tax receipt letters, and timely distribution. Ensure these are produced in compliance with IRS regulations and South Michigan Food Bank's policies and procedures

· Manage yearly calendar of campaigns and activities, brand management, and web presence.

· Develop and provide the Development Department with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as defined by the Director of Development

· Oversee prospect identification, segmentation, and qualification needs (including pulling all files for Direct Response). Run all queries, financial reports, and actions; manage lists for mailing and major events; and import/export of data and bulk uploads

· Develop and implement data integrity maintenance processes and oversee enhancement projects

· Coordinate closely with Development staff to leverage Bloomerang to manage deadlines, generate portfolio performance reports, assess giving trends, and evaluate progress towards achieving revenue objectives

· Coordinate closely with the Finance Department to reconcile revenue, assist with financial reporting, and conduct at least a monthly reconciliation review to ensure data integrity and accuracy

· Remain up to date on IRS regulations regarding charitable giving and tax acknowledgments and ensure the Development team is adhering to those regulations

· Develop strategies based on marketing metrics to support the growth of social media channels

· In partnership with Development Team define and shape the organizational communication efforts

Qualifications

· Three years of CRM/database administration or management experience; experience with Bloomerang preferred

· Strong knowledge of fundraising accounting and best practices in all aspects of gift processing and acknowledgment and donor/database management, including IRS regulations

· Proficient inMicrosoft Office products with advanced skills in Word, Adobe Illustrator and Excel

· Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills as well as verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to organize, multi-task, and effectively function in a fast-paced environment to set and achieve short- and long-term goals

· Ability to establish priorities, navigate overlapping timelines, and meet deadlines

· Professional and positive attitude

Work Environment

· Work is performed in an office environment with a standard office

Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
