PURPOSE OF POSITION: RCMA’s Development and Community Relations Department supports RCMA’s mission by strengthening RCMA’s relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, alumni, policymakers, parents, corporations, foundations, and numerous other private institutions. We work to raise public awareness of our work in hopes of increasing private philanthropy, which ensures RCMA’s sustainability and growth.

The Digital Media and Marketing Specialist supports the success of the DCR Team by developing a wide variety of communications initiatives designed to enhance the organization’s visibility in the community, ensuring consistent messaging and branding. The Specialist will help expand RCMA’s communities and promote events or programs through print content and social media platforms. The specialist will coordinate RCMA’s presence on various social media platforms and help create and publish content that is relevant to the customer base. The specialist will regularly analyze and report on the activity of social media networks and the RCMA websites. The CMC must be a team player and a strong and detailed writer, being able and willing to write and edit copy and support the development of materials consistent with RCMA’s culture and tone.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

With the direction of the Communications and Media Coordinator, the Digital Media/Marketing specialist will:

• Plan, implement and monitor RCMA’s Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and increase engagement.
• Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy by the creation of digital marketing calendar.
• Collaborate with Communications and Media Coordinator to ensure content is written for search engine optimization.
• Create content including but not limited to Facebook and other web accounts, monitor posts or comments and work with staff to bring value to users' interactions with RCMA.
• Create and maintain a sophisticated digital experience for all of RCMA’s client-facing media.
• Conceptualize, plan, design, and produce design products that enable and support RCMA in recognizing, identifying, educating, and engaging prospective customers and donors.
• Ensure designs are within the brand, timelines, budget, and project requirements.
• Maintain RCMA brand and brand integrity across all platforms.
• Guide DCR Team by offering suggestions and recommendations on industry trends.
• Grow RCMA online social networks by increasing fan base and interactions.
• Continuously collaborate as a core member of the DCR team to conceptualize and design both online and print material.
• Able to communicate branding and style guide including logo, color palette, typography, layout, and creativity.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to assure RCMA messaging is clear, cohesive, and within the marketing plan.
• Monitor the impact and return on investment of digital marketing efforts.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications, creative writing, or related field or four years of equivalent training/experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) and willingness to commit to RCMA’s values and principles.
