Dining Room Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the main dining roon. Position leads the team members in ensuring our residents receive the highest quality food and service. Is a resource to other team members in all aspects of food service management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in planning and scheduling of catering events.
• Oversees daily preparation and presentation of meals in the main dining room.
• Ensures team members practice safe and sanitary use of equipment and food handling.
• Inspects quality, quantity, temperatures, and appearance of food before it is served.
• Assists in meal service as needed during peak times.
• Maintains acceptable departmental standards, objectives and goals to maximize the quality and service to the Resident.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as culinary leader preferably in a hospital, retirement community, club or other hospitality industry.
• Strong management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize workloads and meet time deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software programs.
