Job Responsibilities Include:

- Providing care/support associated with all aspects of care, including: feeding, hygiene, medication, ambulation, range of motion, communication and community activities.

- Promoting individual's rights, dignity freedom of choice, and their individuality according to person centered thinking.

- Assisting/training individuals as outlined in individual service plans.

- Assisting and escorting service recipients to appointments such as physician, activities, shopping and others.

- Providing domestic duties including house cleaning, bathrooms and meal preparation. - Responsible for promptly reporting incidents, or evidence of abuse or violation of individual's rights.

- Maintaining skills necessary to safely operate equipment and machines used in the performance of the job, including: Mechanical Lifts, adjustable chairs/beds, scales and vehicles.

- Modeling desirable behaviors for service recipients and coworkers.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

-Minimum of 6 months in health related field.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Basic knowledge of human behavior and intellectual disabilities.

- Valid drivers license in VA, DC or MD and safe driving record.

-First Aid, and CPR. ****Will provide this training if necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
