Direct Support Professional (DSP)

HIRING: PART TIME & FULL TIME POSITIONS IN URBANA, OHIO.

New Hire SIGN ON BONUS: Bonus paid out as follows; (Must maintain full-time status with no disciplinary or attendance issues to be eligible)
* $300 paid out on initial (first) check
* $250 paid out following 3 months of employment at BLESS
* $200 paid out following 6 months of employment at BLESS
Referral Bonus;
BLESS, LLC offers a referral bonus for our current staff. If a current staff refers a new staff they will receive a $200 referral bonus following the new staff's 6 month anniversary of employment @ BLESS. Please note: (your name must be added to the applicates application upon interview).
BLESS also offers the opportunity to obtain the longevity incentive.
Note; this is a 60 hour training course following 2 years of field experience to earn an extra $1 an hour for DSP's.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Prefer every other weekend
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass drug testing

JOB DUTIES:
Teach/assist clients with:
- Routine daily living tasks (i.e. Meal/menu prep, grocery, shopping, grooming, bathing, etc).
- Proper use of appliances or adaptive/assistive devices.
- Basic money management
- Positive Social Skills
- Complete all documentation as outlined in support services as required.
- Advocate to protect and advance the rights of clients with disabilities so that they may freely exercise their own life choices, enforce their rights and fully participate in their community life.
- Going out to events in their local community.
- Help maintains & promote a safe and clean environment for the individuals.
- Assist individuals to achieve and exceed their personal goals.
