Direct Support Specialist

A-1 Nursing Care is seeking reliable direct support professionals to work with clients in Westerville, OH. We strive to help assist our clients in staying as independent as possible while living in the environment of their choice. **Individuals request female-only caregiver due to care involving issues of intimate personal privacy such as assisting with toileting.**Location: Westerville, OH

Schedule: MONDAY - FRIDAY 3P-11P

Primary Duties May Include:

• Help with increasing independence and improving adaptive skills
• Assist clients with general housekeeping tasks
• Overall assist with helping the client have a full life
• Good comprehension of the English language, including reading and writing
• Ability to be able to lift around 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to be able to focus on multiple tasks at one time and have attention to detail
• Prior Direct Care Specialist experience is a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

High School Diploma or GED
Must be 16 years of age
Ability to pass Background check requirements
**Valid Driver's License / Auto Insurance & Reliable transportation**
Current CPR and Basic First Aid Certifications (We can provide at no cost to you)
DODD Training and Certification (We can provide at no cost to you)
