Responsibilities:
Rising Ground has an immediate opening(s) for a Full Time Direct Support Professional to work in one of our Work Readiness programs in Yonkers. Join our team in teaching daily and independent living skills, work readiness skills, providing individual counseling, supporting Personal Outcome Measures, promoting community integration, and fostering a culture of person-centeredness. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enriching the lives of people with intellectual/developmental/mental health disabilities including a comfort in supporting ADLs (including assisting with showering, toileting, grooming, etc.) as necessary.
- High School Diploma or GED; some college is a plus
- Valid Driver's License, NY State preferred
- Ability to attend two weeks of paid NYS Mandated OPWDD trainings between 9am-5pm.
- Participate in required background screening
- Work or life experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental/mental health disabilities is a plus, but not required
