BRIDGES MN HAS ORIENTATION FOR NEW EMPLOYEES EVERY WEEK! We offer 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift opportunities available full time or part time, Sunday through Saturday. All employees are eligible for PTO and 401K and full time employees are eligible for MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION.

Shift: Full time or part time opportunities on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Monday-Friday, Weekends, and/or 7 on/7 off schedules

Location: Saint Paul and surrounding areas

Pay Rates (based on location): Direct Support Professional $16.25/hour base rate. Pay varies based on the needs of the client.

DSP Job Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Medication Administration & Documentation
  • Understand standard precautions used for infection control and adhere to them
  • Assist person served with activities of daily living as indicated on their individual service agreement (including, but not limited to dressing, showering, grooming, toilet assistance, and escorting)
  • Assist the person served with daily room order and light housekeeping
  • Assist the person served with personal laundry duties, which may include ironing
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment
  • Assist with maintaining a clean house vehicle
  • Promote independence, not dependence with the person served offering choices and fostering self-help skills
  • Document any changes in the person served condition in the person served ISP data and T-Log
  • Report these changes to the Residential Supervisor in a timely manner
  • Completes GER’s according to policy

DSP Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate about the care and well-being of others.
  • Prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, staff and other customers.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to pass a background check with the Department of Health and Human Services.
  • A valid drivers license is required.
