Your Role:
- Support business development activities across Life Science sector, including bolt-on M&A, divestiture, strategic partnership and licensing.
- Develop expertise on adjacent and non-adjacent spaces through primary, proprietary market / pre-diligence work
- Coordinate stakeholders across organization to build M&A funnel and deal business cases through strategic gap analysis and adjacent market work
- Coordinate strategic partnerships and licensing for selected assets globally
- Develop high-quality professional network; represent company at key events (e.g. JP Morgan, BIO)
- Cultivate mid- near- and long-term target relationships (International travel requirement of 25%)
- Partner with internal cross-functional teams and transactional M&A team on deal diligence, valuation, negotiation and executio
- Nonpolitical in all dealings with agendas that are above board and understood by all
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS with 12-15 years, MS degree with 7-10 years, or PHD 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
- Significant exposure to Life Sciences markets and roles in business / corporate development, M&A, consulting (search & evaluation), and business strategy
- Experience in assessing markets, target cultivation and deal terms/structures
- Understanding of financial statements, valuation and synergy concepts
- Hands-on business development experience across the deal continuum
- Ability to work in fast-paced global business environment; cultural adaptability; high energy and motivation
- Min 5-7 years evaluating market attractiveness, new business and strategic fit of acquisitions
- Master's Degree in Scientific / Business discipline; Ph.D.
- German and/or Mandarin
- Transactional experience in Life Sciences space
