Director HR Business Partner, EMEA Regional Lead

THE ROLE:
AMD is searching for a Director of Human Resources to lead our complex & growing EMEA region, which spans 20 countries. The HR function at AMD plays a pivotal role in driving the business and culture through a focus on organization and leadership development, effective change management and performance optimization to effectively drive business results. The EMEA regional leader will define the needs and HR strategy that support the business goals within the region, with input from the functional HRBP leaders in North America. The EMEA HR Director advocates on behalf of the region to all HR centers of excellence (eg., talent acquisition, ER, comp & ben, mobility, operations) and other key HR stakeholders such as finance and legal. You will consult and advise regional leadership and ensure alignment through tight collaboration in the respective divisions. This role will report to the Regional VP Human Resources.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate is an experienced and progressive business partner with a strong consultative style and proven HR leadership experience across multiple countries in Europe. It’s important that you have demonstrated strong execution and end-to-end ownership in a highly dynamic and matrixed environment. Strong relationship building, collaboration and driving change through influence are critical in this role. You are as strong in strategic thinking as in end-to-end program management, such as leading projects in M&A and divestitures within the region and annual talent management processes. Your success in the role will be heavily dependent on your ability to forge relationships and build credibility as a regional subject-matter expert across various teams, as well as your flexibility to work across multiple time zones and cultures.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Integration and Change Management
- Lead and champion efforts in the continuous integration of teams within the region since a recent acquisition
- Assist people and the organization in moving to new ways of thinking and/or operating
- Build alignment with functional teams to assist regional leadership in adapting to new processes and procedures
- Regional, Business and Industry Acumen
- Understand how businesses work; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization; know the competition; awareness of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace
- Interpersonal, Communication and Consulting Skills
- Consult, coach and execute with the business to identify, develop and drive key human capital initiatives such as leadership development, succession planning, global talent acquisition, and rewards and recognition with functional HR Business Partners
- Partner with colleagues inside and outside of HR to innovate, enhance, align and drive the effectiveness of enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives within your region
- Strategically influence pay-for-performance through advising on salary planning, promotions, resource planning, and talent calibrations
- Act as an advisor to business leaders on issues relating to policy interpretation and employee relations
- Facilitate off-site discussions around talent initiatives in the region
- Organizational Diagnostics, Analytics, and Problem Solving
- Manage and facilitate organizational design and development in collaboration with functional HR Business Partners
- Analyze and communicate insights using the HR Dashboard and the key talent metrics to provide guidance to the business
- Lead the analysis and interpretation of engagement survey results, identifying trends and collaborating with leaders to identify and implement action planning.
- Gather and explore information, find patterns and solve problems

- Directly manage and engage a team of HR business partners in multiple locations across the region as well as dotted line leadership responsibility for all COE talent in the region
- Ability to create a “one team” mindset to deliver results for EMEA
- Ability to assess talent, build HRBP capability, and create an aligned vision for the region
