Maven Wise, LLC is recruiting for a Director of Accounting Operations for a globally recognized manufacturer located near Pasadena, CA. Represented in over 100 countries with over 15k+ employees and 5 subsidiary companies. The ideal Director of Accounting Operations will have manufacturing industry experience, manage a team of 15, oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash management, Month/ Quarter/Year End close, and accurate financial processing. Your day to day:

• Responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, month-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Responsible for establishing accounting policies and procedures that ensure financial statements are in compliance with GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.
• Maintains knowledge of current and upcoming accounting standards, and ultimately leading analysis
• Maintains chart of accounts, prepares all month end journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and P&L variance analysis.
• Prepares required regulatory reporting and internal reports.
• Partner with the CFO, VP, Finance, external auditors & other stakeholders to create and maintain financial records and analysis which positions' organization success for positive restructuring.
• Work with teams across the company to identify, design and implement internal control and process improvements.
• Cash and debt management, including covenant reporting.
• Collaborates with Operations leadership on an ongoing basis related to physical inventory counts, inventory cost variances and standards reviews, operations budget and forecasting, and other operational KPIs.

Your qualifications:

• Master or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA a MUST
• IFRS/GAAP
• 10+ years of progressively relevant experience in a publicly traded company or a combination of Big 4 public accounting firm with hands on experience in a private company preferred.
• An entrepreneurial and self-driven mindset, with the experience to continuously improve.
• Excellent analytical skills, ideally with hands-on expertise in financial and operations analysis in a food manufacturing and packaging setting.
• Demonstrated business partnering skills with exceptional presentation and communication skills with all levels of an organization.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP (JD Edwards)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $185,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
