Job description
- Create and implement differentiated and highly personalized marketing and recruitment plans targeting multiple audiences including high school, out of state, early entry, honors, homeschooled, international, transfer, online, and graduate students taking full advantage of available technologies and resourceful personnel to maximize enrollment
- Oversee communication, processing, and relationship development processes for prospective students including building a broad prospective student pool
- Work with the Marketing Department to coordinate recruitment and marketing initiatives and publication development
- Set and manage new student enrollment goals including individual recruitment staff enrollment goals
- Recruit within the local area for high school visits and college fair programs
- Support prospective student data collected from departmental recruitment activities into EMP such as music auditions, Art Day, Business Contest, History Day and Math Day
- Partner with athletics and music programs to identify students with interests in these areas
- Provide reports for the VPEM to assist in evaluating progress being made in student recruitment initiatives.
- Develop and implement student-focused recruitment and admission policies and procedures and issue admission decisions
- Maintain thorough knowledge about myPSC and Liaison/EMP and their capabilities
- Identify and implement opportunities for staff training and professional development
- Participate actively in College committee work and campus events
- Participate in state, regional and national professional associations
- Ensure compliance with College policies, manage departmental budget and office procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Master’s degree required in relevant field; preference given to individuals with five years of progressive responsibility in college admissions or related marketing, recruitment, or higher education settings.
- The successful applicant will be knowledgeable of effective recruitment strategies utilizing technology; demonstrate qualities of superior verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; have demonstrated success building collaborative working relationships across campus and with external audiences; and have a strong commitment to staff development.
Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
