We are excited to hire a Director of Alumni Engagement at the Denver Broncos Football Club. This is a newly created role that will lead the creation and execution of a best-in-class program to engage Denver Broncos alumni (former players) through consistent communication, personal and professional development, community impact, and Broncos activities (training camp, gamedays, appearances, etc.). The Director of Alumni Engagement will oversee all aspects of alumni outreach including building an inclusive and cohesive program, widespread participation in organizational events and relevant business initiatives, and supporting alumni as a foundational pillar of the Denver Broncos organization.

Responsibilities include: Oversee program planning and implementation by:
  • Developing and implementing the strategic outreach to and with all Denver Broncos former players
  • Cultivating relationships, assessing interest areas and aligning them to internal and external opportunities, and coordinating, planning and hosting various events and initiatives
  • Assessing alumni program needs across the business and serving as a liaison to all departments, helping to manage all internal appearances for Broncos Alumni, including (but not limited to) gameday appearances, and serve as an organizational resource on the history of the Broncos
  • Planning and hosting the annual Alumni homecoming weekend festivities, including but not limited to, Broncos Ring of Fame inductions, special recognition of team milestones, Super Bowl Anniversaries, and more
Oversee administration of programs and outreach by:
  • Developing a comprehensive database of Broncos Alumni with a wide variety of data to assist in the accuracy of engaging alumni
  • Maintaining all administrative duties for documenting and maintaining current files for all former players
  • Updating local resource contact information
  • Processing expense submissions and additional administrative duties as assigned
  • Maintaining knowledge of and administering various NFL and NFLPA resources that pertain to former players
Provide timely and consistent communication by:
  • Creating and leading the communication process through a strategic approach, internally and externally, to engage with Alumni and keep them informed of team news, alumni opportunities and resources
  • Producing end of year recap on all events, initiatives, and resources regarding former players
Providing strategic direction by:
  • Developing an inclusive, focused strategy in which Broncos alumni feel connected to the organization and identify opportunities to support business initiatives
  • Researching Legends Community programs throughout the league and proactively seeking and deploying innovative initiatives to offer support
  • Producing and evaluating reports on measurements of success, key performance indicators, and achieving programmatic goals
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or another related field
  • Minimum five years’ experience/training
  • Previous experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletes
Preferred expectations:
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent time-management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail and capacity to thrive in pressure situations
  • Ability to work nights/weekends as needed and keep a flexible schedule
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in relationship building and program/event planning and execution
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to interact with players, staff, and the community in a professional manner
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and Boards of Directors
  • Proven experience to appropriately work with and around confidential information is necessary
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000. This position will be located at the Training Center in Englewood, CO and must be available for a flexible schedule and Broncos games and nights/weekends as needed.
