Director of Business Development - Great Lakes Region

Creative Dining Services is seeking a Director of Business Development for the Great Lakes region! Our mission is to provide our clients with fresh, sustainable, innovative, customized hospitality experiences, operating with integrity and working in open and trusting relationships. As the Director of Business Development, you will identify prospects, develop ongoing customer relationships, and create value propositions that meet the customers’ needs in the primary markets of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky.

Core Responsibilities of the Director of Business Development:
- Achieving revenue and margin goals
- Identifying and cold calling on potential new customers in primary markets. Other opportunities as assigned by leadership.
- Creating value propositions that meet the customer's needs
- Developing ongoing customer relationships
- Demonstrating pro-active solicitation of all RFP/RFI opportunities
- Maintaining customer data, sales activity and forecasts in a CRM system
- Representing Creative Dining Services at association events and conferences
- Working in partnership with internal teams (operations directors, people services, finance, marketing, executives) to create prospecting strategies, collateral development, proposal and presentation materials
Qualified individuals will possess the following attributes:
- 5+ years of sales experience in hospitality management, contracting services or food industry (nutrition, dietary, etc.)
- Demonstrated record of quota attainment
- Successful background in account acquisition and retention
- Successful business-to-business sales background
- Willing to travel overnight 1-3 nights per week/average
- Desire to work in an environment that rewards strong ethical standards and conduct
- Strong communicator and strategic thinker that demonstrates ability to develop relationships from the c-suite to middle management to students, customers and retirement residents
- Effectively develop internal relationships across the Creative Dining organization
- Passionate and good sense of humor
- CRM software solution expertise
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
