We currently operate ten facilities across the U.S and have plans to expand! We currently have an opening for a Director of Clinical Services at our Arlington location. The Director of CS will be part of the leadership team, consisting of compassionate professionals providing high quality care. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating and oversight of all clinical services, developing policy and procedures, unit schedules, protocols, treatment guidelines, education material, and educational programs. The Director of CS will manage the program milieus, assign and monitor supervision of clinical service staff, ongoing growth, continuity and development of program services, and coordination with other departments.

Primary responsibilities will include:


Represent the Clinical Services Department at the executive level and in consultation with the Chief Nursing Officer and the Medical Director, plan, develop, and implement formal and organized clinical services programs as part of the therapeutic milieus.

Overseeing the overall performance and function of the programs though controlling accountability and key measures of therapy staff.

Responsible for ensuring programmatic activities are occurring and documented accordingly in the patient medical record. By Monitor medical records for appropriate documentation of care and effectiveness of the treatment plan.

Assist with Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures, QA/PI programs, peer review, and standards of care.

Provide in-service education and instruction to multi-disciplinary staff, students, and others as requested (based in evidence-based practice modalities).

Maintain up-to-date knowledge and resource files related to psychosocial issues and community resources.

Possess knowledge of and comply with regional, state and federal/judicial operational procedures (ED/CME/OPC/MOTs, etc.).

Strategically solve problems that encompass the larger view of the organization by utilizing an understanding of organizational dynamics in planning and problem solving.

Remain current on all clinical techniques and evidence-based practices.

Coordinate clinical intern affiliations with local universities, ensuring contracts are current and interns are appropriately supervised.

Maintain an active involvement and awareness of all patient admission, discharges and transfer, to include system continuity with appropriate levels of care, discharge safety and step-down conversions.

Serve on Facility Committees and attend all committee meetings as assigned.

Develop and implement a Performance Improvement Process to evaluate the performance monthly, and report results to the hospital Performance Improvement Committee in a timely manner.


Ensure that deficiencies identified through the performance improvement analysis are addressed with appropriate problem-solving actions.

Participate in developing, justifying and controlling the annual budget for department personnel, facilities, and equipment.

Maintain and allocate a qualified core of staff resources in accordance with the staffing grid.

Ensure that the staff schedule and configuration will meet the needs and demands of the patient population and census and adjust it accordingly.

Assure that hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures are conducted in accordance with hospital policies.

Ensure staff competency with orientation and annual re-evaluations of competency documented in a timely manner consistent with hospital policy.

Develop and direct a system that ensures that individual patients and their families are involved in the development of individualized treatment plans and discharge plans.

Ensure that all clinical staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice.

Ensures program functions within requirements established by Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and other state and federal agencies.

Remains knowledgeable of current trends related to behavioral healthcare by participating in professional organizations, reviewing current literature and communicating with representatives of other facilities.

Responsible for creating and supporting a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment-free work environment by understanding and complying with organization policies.

Has a dotted reporting line to Home Office VP Clinical Services.

Job Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work

LCSW

Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in

family and group therapies and at least 2 year in a leadership role, crisis intervention, and

treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills;

Trauma Informed Care or Substance Abuse Experience, Working knowledge of Microsoft

Word, Excel and Outlook; Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload; Ability to

communicate clearly in person and in writing.
