Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana is a non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana helps nearly 10,000 people from 65 program locations in 16 communities across the region. We serve individuals and families overcoming personal crises; people experiencing substance use disorder, including women with dependent children and women who are pregnant; people transitioning out of the criminal justice system; and veterans and veteran families who are homeless or are at-risk of becoming homeless.

Position Summary:

The Director of Development will implement donor-centric strategies and initiatives supported by data designed to garner support from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Coordinate and support all fundraising activities including donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities. Plan and execute annual fundraising events and special donor cultivation events. Develop and maintain corporate, organization, and foundation relationships. Works closely with Chief Development & Communications Officer to help make the world a better place.

A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of fundraising experience and proven success in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors, including face to face relationship building, a must.
