Position Summary:

The Director of Digital Commerce leads the development and delivery of Benco's customer facing e-commerce solutions, they oversee the end-to-end vision and design of our e-commerce experience ensuring that customer needs are met with engaging, intuitive experiences and innovative functionality. The Director partners with business units outside of IT as the product owner of e-commerce to deliver an e-commerce capability that offers the best customer shopping experience in our industry. The Director partners with peers in IT to maintain a culture of agile software development, including modern development methodologies, automated testing, automated delivery, and hybrid cloud architectures.

Do YOU Possess These Skills and Attributes?

  • Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with digital marketing and e-commerce technologies.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills including data querying and modeling, with the ability to transform raw data into business insights.
  • Exhibits strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills. Comfortable negotiating with and presenting to IT and business leaders.
  • Strong initiative around maintaining and enhancing technical skills.
  • Able to establish credibility with clients, partners, and colleagues and to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment. Invites and uses the opinions and perspectives of others.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and drive with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Do These Responsibilities Interest YOU?

  • Partners with Director of Enterprise Applications to ensure overall system stability and collaborating on overall development standards.
  • Stays abreast of trends and emerging technologies in e-commerce.
  • Trains and leads Lean Startup methodology including use of Minimum Viable Products and the Learn, Measure, Build cycle and Pivot or Persevere sessions.
  • Participates in all team agile ceremonies, standups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Meet regularly with e-commerce stakeholders outside of IT (including Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations) to collaborate on the roadmap for our on-line customer experience.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and direction to direct reports via daily stand ups and weekly 1-on-1s
  • Participates in job shadows and co-travels as necessary.

Do YOU Meet These Requirements?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • 4-6 years of Agile software development methodology and managerial experience
  • 4-6 years of E-Commerce experience
