Job description
Serves as Director of the Center for Life Sciences Education. Tenured faculty member in one of the departments of the biological sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences, preferably at the Professor level. Provides leadership in student services; works with divisional Dean, Associate Dean and staff to coordinate division-wide student recruitment, student services and retention efforts; oversees biology courses and curricula, undergraduate advising and assessment, especially in the biology major, TA and faculty recruitment and training for CLSE, and the Biological Sciences Scholars Program and other special programs; serves as a biological sciences liaison to Arts and Sciences Advising and Academic Services, Exploration Program, University Center for the Advancement of Teaching, University Registrar, Office of Admissions, Office of Scheduling, Honors Program, Continuing Education; serves on the Executive Committee and on other appropriate committees; assumes duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean.Minimum Education Required
Doctorate (Academic) or equivalent combination of education and experience
