We are currently recruiting for a Director of Engine Technical Management job in Miami, Florida.
You’ll be working with a company that performs full CFM56 performance restorations, special repairs, piece parts, and module repairs as well as engine exchanges and field service support globally. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director of Engine Technical Management is responsible for the administration of engines inducted to repair, starting from the preparation of initial quotes, based on the customer’s requested work scope, administration of the engine throughout the repair process including, but not limited to: communication with customers, preparation of reports related to the shop visit, pricing evolution and substantiation, invoicing and payment collection, administration of customer satisfaction surveys and after-sale support. This role will also be responsible for customer review meetings, both at the company and at the customer’s site.

A Day In The Life of a Director of Engine Technical Management

Before engine induction:
  • Negotiate General Term Agreements with prospect customers and adhere to GTA’s for current customer
  • Structure complex proposals in adherence to Maintenance Contracts for new and existing customer’s RFQ for single-engine repairs or fleets
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and the company
  • Review and analyze customer proposed work scope, prepare and/or supervise initial cost estimates for existing and new customer requirements.
  • Ensure opportunities are uploaded to SalesForce platform
  • Ensure customer’s contact information, fleet status, and any other pertinent detail are properly maintained and updated.
  • Ensure compliance with quote deadlines and requirements
  • Generate reports to management
During engine repair process:
  • Liaison with internal departments and managers
  • Report engine repair progress to customers, provide status reports to customers and create Inspection Findings Reports
  • Provide accurate cost estimates
  • Report additional findings and revise cost estimate
  • Coordinate with accounting to prepare and send invoices per agreed terms
  • Follow up on payment status and execution
  • Maintain Quantum with up-to-date data for accounting purposes
After engine repair process:
  • Foster a highly engaged and collaborative working relationship with customers
  • Provide company customers with first-class service when visiting or in town
  • Reconcile and Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Administer customer satisfaction surveys, document and analyze results and create improvement plans based on customer inputs
Qualifications
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies include but are not limited to:

  • Strong technical background on the CFM56 product line with knowledge of the assembly/disassembly process
  • Strong understanding of engine shop visit management, including work scoping, costing
  • estimates and breakdown, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Strong consulting/negotiation skills with the capacity to deliver superior customer service
  • High proficiency with MS Office, i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Other important knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies:
  • Have a strong desire to succeed and willing to work additional hours when required
  • Demonstrates exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Team player versed in managing and resolving conflict
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and demonstrate discretion, fairness, and a persuasive, congenial personality – able to maintain synergy with the department
  • Highly organized and detailed-oriented with a flexible work style
  • Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and personal integrity
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Aerospace or Industrial preferred), Project Management,
Financial Engineering, Sales and Marketing or equivalent.
  • Language – Spanish language
  • Experience as an engine shop engineer, inspector, or technician
  • Knowledge of Quantum software
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Software
