Join Woodside as our Director of Finance & Campus Operations! We offer a unique opportunity for the right individual to join our executive team and effect change and growth across our campus. Reporting to our Board of Directors, the position determines and formulates policies and provides the overall financial direction of the organization within established guidelines and expectations in line with organizational objectives. Plans, directs, or coordinates operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of other executives and staff managers. Position is responsible for the direction of the payroll/accounts payable and business office functions, the maintenance and plant operations of our campus, and acts as the primary conduit between our employees and our partner IT solutions provider. Woodside is currently in the midst of an active strategic planning process to position our campus for the upcoming decades and this individual will plan an integral part, along with our other executive team leaders and Board of Directors.

  • Direct and coordinate the organization’s financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize cash and investments, and increase efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for internal and external distribution.
  • Analyze and interpret financial results for management team members and Board of Directors.
  • Analyze cash management by managing cash flow activities and projections.
  • Prepare operating and capital budgets for approval, including those for government funding and implementation of programs.
  • Prepare and submit all required debt compliance documentation.
  • Oversight and participation in all outside audit functions for the organization.
  • Preparation and oversight of all IRS reporting, including payroll reporting.
  • Preparation and oversight of all Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting.
  • Oversight of organization’s investment portfolios.
  • Responsible for the oversight of organization’s liability and property insurance programs.
  • Completes all necessary external financing.
  • Responsible for the oversight of HUD program contract.
  • Oversight of accounts receivable collection efforts.
  • Confer with board members, organization officials, and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities and resolve problems.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance of a company and its staff in meeting objectives and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
  • Prepare budgets for approval, including those for funding and implementation of programs.
  • Responsible for the review of all agreements and contracts with insurance companies, suppliers, governmental agencies, and other organizational entities.
  • Review reports submitted by staff members to recommend approval or to suggest changes.
  • Participate in board of directors, management committees, or other governing committees and meetings.
  • Prepare and present reports concerning activities, expenses, budgets, government statutes and rulings, and other items affecting organization.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of financial reporting systems.
  • Responsible for providing assistance and oversight to the overall campus maintenance and plant operations function to include ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Review and analyze laws, and public policy, and recommend changes to promote and support interests of the organization.
  • Acts as the primary contact with the contracted Information Technology organization to ensure a long-term strategic technological plan as well immediate customer service expectations, technological function across campus and coordination between the IT and Maintenance functions.
  • Interpret and explain policies, rules, regulations, and laws to organization, corporate officials, and individuals.
  • Make presentations to Board of Director committees regarding policies, programs, or budgets.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of businesses involved with buying and selling investment products and financial services.
  • Directs and conducts studies and research on issues affecting areas of responsibility.
  • Actively participates in strategic planning initiatives.

Position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience as well as three to seven years of related experience. Must have Microsoft Office skills. Advanced degree or certifications such as a Certified Public Accountant License (CPA) a plus.
