Job Title: Director of Finance
Location: North Wales, Pennsylvania

Reports to: President/Owner
Employment Type: Full Time (4 days a week Onsite )
Job Overview: The Director of Finance will ensure the delivery of sustainable value creation and preservation of the company’s financial actions through effective interpersonal skills and strategic leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory
- Supervises Controller and accounting/finance department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Training and engaging employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Member of the Leadership Team
- Promote and contribute to a forward-looking mindset to achieve the mission, vision and values set forth by the company.
- Provide guidance to the leadership team through effective communication of financial reporting (profitability, cash flow, forecasting), and KPI development.
- Identify and report areas of efficiencies and how the company can improve or capitalize on these areas.
Finance, Accounting, & Payroll
- Lead and develop the accounting team by setting appropriate measurable goals and real time feedback through team meetings, one-on ones and bi-annual reviews to assure accountability and satisfactory results.
- Ensure the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and forecasting. Ensure accurate record keeping of various accounts.
- Oversight and maintenance of ensuring margin on products and services are set to achieve company goals.
- Identify, recommend, and assist in implementing tax strategies that fit with the overall company strategy.
- Provide oversight to payroll processing outsourcing and ensure accuracy of payroll and compliance.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Treasury oversight and recommendations on how to utilize the company’s money, taking into consideration risk and liquidity, and best mix of debt, equity and internal financing.
- Identify risks and take proactive measures to reduce exposure in areas not limited to cyber-security, legal, personnel and compliance.
- Oversight and preparation of external company audits, insurance and healthcare/benefit elections & applications.
Information Technology
- Understand processes, systems, and their underlying data and work closely with team members to get the best use out of technology.
- Identify and recommend areas of improvement with technology, participate in development and implementation plans.
- Use technology to produce accurate reporting and data which can lead to strategic discussions of company opportunities and weaknesses.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- 5+ years of fiscal management required
- 5+ years supervisory experience required
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Experience required in construction operations; job costing; WIP reporting, cash management
- Candidate with no construction industry background will be considered, as long as with strong experience in Job Costing
- Experience in smaller, entrepreneurial companies strongly preferred
- Servant leader, even ego, willing to help where needed, team oriented
- Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills
- Innate curiosity to understand a business
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Professional attitude and appearance.
Salary and Benefits:
- $125k - $145K / year
