The Office of the Attorney General (“OAG”) is seeking applicants for a Director of Information Technology in the Information Technology Unit. This position provides computer and telecommunications support to the employees of the OAG in the central administrative offices in Baltimore as well as offices in Annapolis, Salisbury, Largo and Hagerstown. Duties include, but are not limited to, diagnosing hardware and software problems, making repairs or adjustments, working with outside vendors, soliciting purchases, diagnosing and assisting users with network problems, working in network switches, working in firewalls, working in databases, working on servers, desktops, and laptops, developing and conducting training and training manuals and instructions, installing, configuring, testing and evaluating new software. Incumbent will participate in on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend support. This position performs both hands-on and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in computer information technology, management information systems or other information technology related field, to include course work in local or wide area computer networks, from an accredited college or university. Four years of broad IT experience with planning, integrating and maintaining software and hardware for local or wide area networks.

Experience with all Microsoft products including both local and cloud services and products including Teams, SharePoint, SQL, Azure, O365 is required. Experience with firewall management is required.

Experience with software development is required.

Note: Applicants may substitute four years of related experience for the required education.
