Job Title: Director of Learning and Development (field & In-office role)
Job Overview: The Director of Learning and Development will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of training and development for Cafua Management Company, a Dunkin' Donuts franchisee with over 250 locations. The primary focus of this role will be on people development and training curriculum management to ensure that employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all levels of employees, including new hires, shift leaders, managers, and operational owners, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
- Create and update training materials, including manuals, videos, and online courses, to ensure that they are up-to-date, relevant, and effective for all employees.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes, without regard to any protected status.
- Partner with operations and HR teams to identify areas where additional training is needed to improve performance or address skill gaps, without regard to any protected status.
- Manage and support a team of trainers who deliver training programs to employees across the organization, without regard to any protected status.
- Ensure that all training programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies and procedures, without regard to any protected status.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in training and development initiatives, without regard to any protected status.
- Foster a culture of learning and development across the organization, emphasizing the importance of ongoing skill-building and career development for all employees, without regard to any protected status.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external training providers to identify opportunities for collaboration and to leverage external expertise where appropriate, without regard to any protected status.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, instructional design, organizational development) or equivalent experience, without regard to any protected status.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in learning and development, preferably in a multi-unit retail or hospitality environment, with experience in Quick Service Restaurants and restaurant operations, without regard to any protected status.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective training programs that drive employee engagement, retention, and performance in the Quick Service Restaurant and restaurant industries without regard to any protected status.
- Experience managing and leading a team of trainers in the Quick Service Restaurant and/or restaurant industries, including setting performance expectations, providing feedback, and coaching for success, without regard to any protected status.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment without regard to any protected status.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization, including franchise owners and operators, without regard to any protected status.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation in the Quick Service Restaurant and restaurant industries, without regard to any protected status.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices in the Quick Service Restaurant and restaurant industries, without regard to any protected status.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and other technology platforms used to deliver training programs in the Quick Service Restaurant and restaurant industries without regard to any protected status.
This is a full-time position, and the Director of Learning and Development will report directly to the Executive Team. The position will require travel to various locations throughout the region.
