About the Role: Director of Legal Research

We are looking for someone with experience in legal research and writing in the litigation context. This role is perfect for a former litigator who no longer wants to appear in court or take depositions; but who loves diving into complex issues, analyzing the potential arguments, and weaving them into a clearly written and persuasive brief. We want individuals who not only know how to find the right answer, but to ask the right question, and don’t stop until they do. It will involve hands-on research, writing and analysis; as well as reviewing the work of others.

You will have the opportunity to work with a number of lawyers with a wide range of practice areas. Responsiveness, dependability, and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree required

• Minimum two years of experience in litigation research and brief writing

• Experience training and supervising others is a plus

• Experience with Westlaw, Lexis or other legal research tools

• While this role is a Remote position it will require quarterly travel to the Phoenix and/or Chicago offices.

• Authorized to work in the US for any employer
