Responsibilities

• Overall operations of the Plant Operations/Maintenance Department per current federal, state, and local standards.
• Management of all community service contracts.
• Proper tracking of all documents related to preventative maintenance and resident work orders.
• Purchase of equipment and supplies.
• Management of expenses to the approved community budget.
• Oversight of bid generation for capital purchases, renovation projects and service contracts.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills.
• Competent in organizational, time management skills and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, equipment repair, and painting.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong customer orientation to older adults.
• Valid and appropriate driver’s license with driving record in good standing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 30-pounds, stand for long periods of time, walk short distances throughout the day and tolerate the heat from the kitchen.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
